Why not use a metal plate instead of a bullet proof vest?
For those who do not want to spend $ 1,500 for a level III vest bis or just need something for the most unlikely scenario in the worst case of home protection. Why I've never seen this before or have never seen him for sale: Only two steel plates of half-inch thick with welded hinges somekind of them, so you can pull onto the shoulder and take a snapshot (ugly but effective) bulletproof vest. It would be heavy and cumbersome, and of course undeniable. However, it would be perfect for home protection. And it would be cheaper for the manufacturer. I wonder if there is somekind of laws or incentives against armor inexpensive manufacturing in this way? Why else have nothing like this has been done yet? ps. I could do modular, so you can connect to the bench press bar for extra weight when not being used for home defense:)
