What is the highest grade of body-armor that one is allowed to own?
I am interested in purchasing a ballistic helmet, face shield, and stab-vest. Does anyone know what is the maximum grade of ballistic armor a citizen is allowed to own in the state of Alaska?
(NIJ Standards)
Private citizens may own any body armor they want to.
Get yourself a level IV ceramic rifle protection armor if you want to/can afford it.
But most ballistic vests are not stab proof, and vice versa.
And body armor is thick, bulky and uncomfortable. The more protection it offers, the less comfortable it is. If you don't foresee a realistic chance of being shot, it just is not worth it...
