Stun guns are non-lethal self defense weapons that use high voltage to stop
an assailant. Touching an attacker with the two metal prongs on the
stun gun quickly causes temporary loss of balance and mental confusion.
The longer the unit maintains contact with the assailants body, the
more effective the device is in repelling the attacker. For 1-2 seconds
will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. For 3-5 seconds will
cause loss of balance and muscle control, total mental confusion and
disorientation leaving him dazed. Your goal is to repel the assailant
and escape.
Place a stun gun in an accessible place within your home, car or purse. Perfect
to take with you on camping, hiking or fishing trips. The built in belt
clip makes it convenient to carry when walking, jogging or bicycling
and the wrist strap makes it difficult for the attacker to take the
device away from you. A great self defense device for both men and women.
Stun guns are designed to scramble the nervous system. By sending energy
into the muscular system at a high pulse frequency the muscles work
very rapidly, but not efficiently. This rapid work cycle depletes blood
sugar by converting it into lactic acid within seconds. The resulting
energy loss makes it difficult for the attacker to move. Simultaneously,
tiny neurological impulses that travel throughout the muscular system
are interrupted, causing the attacker to become disoriented and confused.
These non-lethal weapons cause no permanent damage to the attacker.
In fact, they are safe to use because they have no effect on involuntary
muscles which control the heart and respiratory systems.
Stun guns cannot be damaged from continued firing into an assailants body;
however, firing the unit into dry air repeatedly or for more than one
second could damage the device and void the warranty. When test firing
the unit, we recommend that you use only one or two short bursts of
1/2 second or less. If the attacker is touching you when you administer
a JOLT, the current will not pass back to your body to cause you harm.
Stunners are a safer alternative to guns and other lethal weapons and are classified
as non-lethal and are legal in all states under Federal law. However,
local and state laws may vary. Even if a child were to get their hands
on a device and apply it to themselves, their muscles would go limp
in 1/1000th of a second, causing them to immediately drop it. Nevertheless,
they should be taken seriously. Store the device in a safe place where
your child cannot get to it. The stunner requires high output alkaline 9-volt batteries.
Stun Guns are ideal for a woman or anyone concerned with
being physically overpowered by an attacker. They should not be used to
defend yourself against an attacker with a firearm or knife. To use a
stun gun, hold the electrodes firmly against a muscular area of the attackers
body such as a shoulder, thigh, or buttocks. You will not receive a shock
even if you are touching the person being stunned. To completely subdue
the attacker, the stun gun must be continuously applied for a few seconds.
More time is required if the person is large, or you are using a low voltage
model.
