what is the difference between level 3 and 3a body armor?
and what exactly are the plates for and does the vest come with them or not? I am ordering a vest and the company says a free trauma plate comes with the vest is that just for my front or do i need to buy one to cover my back also? basically what I am asking is what does a 3 or a 3a protect you from. and when you buy a vest do they usually come with the plates or do you have to buy them and which ones are the best for a level 3 or 3a vest. I heard a 3a can cover most if not all pistol rounds except the new fn one. and i also heard it doesn't cover rifles?
is this the type the police usually use level IIIA?
I, legally can own a vest like this and possess one I have no felonies,will be buying one legally online and willing to go through background check if necessary.
Level IIIa will stop most handgun rounds.
The vest will not stop any rifle rounds!
The trauma plate adds extra protection.
