It is ceramic plate or a plate of kevlar more affective against gun / rifle bullets?
What is more effective and more widely used in the military? Also, if possible, can also tell me what level of body armor usually offered to U.S. military personnel? Thanks x 10000! Also, you may be more rounds?
In fact, both tend to be used at the same time - kevlar inserts are lighter and more Protective flexible, but usually only provides effective protection against 9mm and fragmentation, while the ceramic plates are inserted large heavy rigid even able to stop 7.62mm rifle rounds - but because of their weight, they are only inserted into the pockets of a vest to protect key areas (frontal, later, sometimes sides).
