Adrenline factor
The adrenal glands are a pair of glands that secrete hormones directly into the
bloodstream. Each gland can be divided into two separate bodies. The outer region secretes hormones that have important effects on how we store energy and nutrients are used on chemicals in the blood, and features such as hairiness and body shape. The smallest, in the inner region is part of our nervous system friendly and is the first line of defense of the body and the response to physical and emotional stress. These glands are one to two inches in length and weigh only a fraction one ounce each, and dozens of secreting hormones.
Our adrenal glands take instructions from the pituitary and have important effects physical characteristics, development and growth. Each gland has two parts. The cortex, or outer layer, has the instructions on the ACTH, the pituitary hormone. The hormones secreted here are called steroids and have three main types: those that control the balance of sodium and potassium in the body, which can raise blood blood sugar and sex hormones. The inner layer for two types of hormones and take all instructions from the nervous system, producing chemicals which react with fear and anger and is sometimes called "fight or flight" hormones.
This is the inner layer which is so important for the purposes Personal Safety and Self Defense. It is the fight, flight, posture or Email response that has allowed a relative velocity slow, weak mammals to survive without sharp teeth and claws. The adrenaline has helped keep us alive that spread through the millennia. It also has effects less desirable in the human body during combat situations. This is known as the response of adrenaline.
This flooding powerful hormone in our system at times of stress. There is an increase in breathing and strength to prepare for fight or flight. While target setting may not sound like something so bad, is dangerous if we lose important information such as: (Your attacker is holding a gun) or (Actually, there are three attackers not one). It is important to note that it is not immune to the effects of adrenaline. The physiological effects of adrenaline affects all including criminals and people who face dangerous situations and people for a living. Through training we can learn to minimize the effects of adrenal stress, but never eliminate it.
As our heart and breathing rates rise, our ability to perform effectively decreases quickly. After listening to our rate reaches about 150 beats per minute our fine motor skills deteriorate and becomes more difficult process and quickly evaluate the stimuli that surround us. After 180 beats per minute (very common in an attack scenario) our ability fine motor skills are almost non-existent and are operating in the formation, reflection, and instinct. To add to this there are also deep psychological stressors and emotionally involved in situations of violence or danger of life. All these variables must analyze and act almost instantaneously if it is to survive.
What makes a good street fighter so dangerous? # 1 which has been conditioned through repeated exposure to combat, working while is under adrenal stress. # 2 also have overcome the psychological reluctance to harm other human beings. This is a piece very important puzzle that must be addressed as is so often overlooked when people discuss and teach self-defense. It's easy to teach people to learn to deal with the debilitating effects of adrenaline during the fighting. We can also teach them how to face and overcome their fears. Teaching them to "take switch "and physically hurt another human being even in his own defense is much more difficult. The self-defense techniques more devastating are useless if the student refuses to apply for a violent encounter.
Reality Based Training is an excellent method to teach students safe ways to overcome this prohibition society. A properly structured self-defense course induce a response adrenal stress participants, regardless of the fact that their minds are told it is not real. What is often forgotten in the design of programs based on Reality Defense is the psychological and emotional component of the attack and our innate desire not to harm others. Research by pioneers such as Grossman has shown that "stress inoculation" training was successful in preparing the military and police units to the reality of combat. It also decreased the likelihood of developing serious illnesses associated with stress such as posttraumatic stress disorder after an incident had occurred.
We have developed the © ASIST (stress-induced adrenal saturation Training) Reality Based method of teaching self-defense. Use Progressive Reality Based Training principles for teaching students asymmetric how to regulate their physiological responses to stress adrenal saturation through training and use of the breath of battle.
Saturation of training consists of repeatedly exposing the student to stressors that induce an adrenal response. Through repeated exposure, students learn to reduce their level of anxiety, face your fears and can successfully defend against attacks. Anti helps breathing Students learn to use focused breathing to control your physiological response to adrenal stress. Instructors must carefully watch their students in search signs of emotional stress and help them work through their anxieties and doubts. In the end, you can not eliminate the effects of adrenaline, but you can learn how be fighting while effective in their hands.
